Everytime I try to post an introduction at the forums of various groups, it won't let me. So I will just post it here on my blog and hope that workd

So, I am Heather. I am married to my best friend and we have 4 children, ages 12, 10, 8, and 6½. The three oldest are girls and the youngest is our only boy. We all live in Northern California just outside of Sacramento. We are kind of city, kind of country. If we had our way we would live in Monterey, CA. I have always felt a major connection to the ocean. Growing up in Salinas, which is right near Monterey, I spent all of my time at the ocean. It was either Monterey or Santa Cruz. I miss it deeply. We usually go to the bay area at least once a year. My mom died when I was 8 years old and she was cremated and her ashes were scattered in the Monterey Bay (Pacific Ocean). She also had an attachment to Monterey Bay when she was alive.� I feel very at peace there and always have.
ANYHOO! I was raised a holiday Catholic, meaning we only attended mass on holidays. I never fulfilled all the catholic things growing up. I was baptized Catholic, but never took my first communion and all of that stuff.� So a few years ago, I started feeling like I needed to bring my children up with some sort of religion in their lives so I obviously tried to the Catholic Church first. I tried to talk to several catholics at nearby churches and just didn't get the response I was looking for. It just didn't feel right. It didn't mesh with how I felt and what I believed. So I didn't pursue it anymore. Then recently I started researching other religions and immediately felt a connection with Paganism----is that right?� LOL So I started researching. I am drawn towards Wicca at the moment, but who knows, that could change. Everything I have discovered so far is so in line with how I have always felt and the things I believe. I have felt so at peace with it all since starting my research.
