Are you as shocked as I am to see Shawn Michaels consider JBL's offer to work for him? There has to be more behind that story than just financial problems. It's hard for me to see them work together on just about anything. Then again, stranger things have happened in the WWE. Where does "The Showstoppa" go from here?

Dear Santa (A Chaiman's plea for sanity!)
Dear Santa,
I know it's a few weeks away from your global journey, and your sleigh is already packed, but please, I desperately need you to bring me the following things on your big journey.
First of all, people don't seem to have as much respect for me as they once did. They constantly criticize and impugn my hard work. They say and write awful things about me and everyone I am associated with. Honestly Santa, and I'm sure you can relate with this one, I feel like they don't believe in me anymore.
My son doesn't seem to have the passion & drive to inherit the company that I have spilled my own blood, sweat & tears to build. My wife is aging faster than a Big Show title reign. And to top it off, my daughter is nailing the help. So my first item on my list is free consultation with Dr. Phil.
Now Santa, before you put me on your naughty list, I can explain...Yes I do have a child molester on my payroll in the form of Jerry Lawler, but I get a kick out of him when he screams puppies for 2 hours straight. And yes I have to have Johnny Ace walk Randy Orton on a leash at least twice an hour, because if I don't, he seems to **** in the diva's gym bags. So please, you MUST understand my frustrations.
Yes, I did air a necrophilia skit on my flagship show, but it was merely to release my sexual frustration because I have been banging a dead trout for so many years. So I would like either a fountain of youth for my wife, or gastric bypass surgery for Tammy "Sunny" Sytch, beause she would at least move a bit when she was skinny.
Santa, after years and years of bad ratings and months and months of atrocious buy rates, I cannot seem to find out where I have gone wrong, so if you can magically make this 1997 again, I promise not to let Bret screw himself and continue to make me millions of dollars.
Santa I don't claim to be an angel, but in my business if I wanted to be one, I could. But the one thing that I truly wish you give me, is the grapefruits to tell my son-in-law to piss off and give me my family and company back. I never liked that hook nose anyway, but it was a clique thing in 1996 that got way out of control. But I know better now.
St. Nick, I am at your mercy. Please do what you can for a man that has made so many dreams come true for so many people. Even if you can't give J.R. the feeling back in his face, please, please help me get my company back on track, because I have a family to feed and crummy billion dollars isn't going to to get the job done.
P.S. Sorry about the stunner Steve gave you a few years ago, I thought it would help us win ratings. Santa, I'm depending on you. The whole WWE "Universe" is depending on you.
Sincerely,
VKM

ECW Should Move to a Diffrent Network Television
I personally believe that ECW should move out of Sci Fi because there arent too many viewers watching ECW.
The ECW show should move to Spike Tv, USA, or TNT. I think that way ECW would have more viewers, I find this show/brand of WWE as an underdog.
And also it should be 2 hours long like RAW and SmackDown if its trying to be one of the best WWE brands in sports and entertainment.

When Catholic Traditions and Keane's closed, my husband and I went into withdrawals because there were no local Catholic stores for us to frequent. So I am excited to let everyone know that St. Michael's Catholic Books, Gifts, and Sacred Art has just opened in the old Keane's location!
The address is 23016 Lake Forest Drive, Suite H, Laguna Hills, CA. They're open from 10-5 M-F and 10-3 on Saturday.
So Here's My Take on the BCS...
So now that I've given you some time to read my initial thoughts about the BCS and let you see some of the evidence that it's not the perfect system (see my last post if you're not aware what I'm talking about), I want your reaction. Am I wrong? To me, a college football playoff is the only way to determine a true national champion because, let's face it, there are a ton of good college football teams out there. And if you keep the system the way it is, someone will always be left out and someone will always be complaining how their team got hosed. So rather than have a computer tell you which teams will be battling it out in the BCS Championship, why not have a playoff and make the teams prove on the field that they are deserving of the title national champions? I don't care how you do it, just do it. If the NFL can, why not college football? By having a playoff, you separate the teams that are actually good from the teams that THOUGHT they were good.
Take this season for instance. First of all, if I was Mack Brown, I would be FURIOUS that the BCS for dashing my team's national championship hopes. The Longhorns currently sit 3rd in the latest BCS standings behind Oklahoma and Alabama. They SHOULD be playing in the Big 12 Championship this weekend, but they won't. All because the BCS ranked Oklahoma higher than Texas even though Texas BEAT Oklahoma on a neutral field two months ago in Dallas. Since then, the Sooners have won 6 straight scoring more than 60 points their last 4 games. The Longhorns? Well, they went on to defeat No. 11 Missouri and No. 6 Oklahoma State before losing on a last second TD to then No. 7 Texas Tech. It was their fourth straight game against a team that was ranked in the top 11. To make matters worse? This weekend's Big 12 Championship features Missouri against Oklahoma in Kansas City...Texas beat BOTH of these teams during the regular season and didn't get in. How sickening is that?
Then, there's the whole issue with how a tiebreaker is decided in the Big 12. Using the various tiebreakers of the ACC, Conference USA, MAC and SEC -- other conferences with two divisions -- Texas would have advanced to the Big 12 title game. But because Texas Tech, Texas, and Oklahoma all finished with identical records (with Texas beating Oklahoma, Tech beating Texas, and Oklahoma defeating Tech), the tiebreaker came down to whichever team was ranked highest in the BCS. That's why Oklahoma's playing Saturday. Does anyone else but me have a huge problem with that?
And what happens if for some reason Oklahoma gets upset? Then Missouri is guaranteed a BCS bowl but who plays Alabama/Florida in the National Championship. Do you give it to Texas even though they don't win their conference? I don't know if you can. Because if USC beats UCLA on Saturday (and all indications are they will), how can you take Texas over USC when USC wins their conference? If that happens, Pete Carroll won't be in college football much longer I promise you that.
I could stop there...but I'm not going to. I'm going to let it all hang out. IF, and I repeat, IF, the commisioners of the various conferences decide to keep the BCS, then a few changes need to be implemented.
1) Let more than two conference teams play if they are deserving. Because Oklahoma and Texas are ranked higher and already represent the Big 12, Texas Tech (who was at one point ranked as high as #2 in the country) is probably headed to the Cotton Bowl. Which is nice, but it does carry the financial package the BCS hands to each team that plays in one of their games.
2) Stop giving automatic bids. Make teams earn their way in. Note to BCS selection committee: I don't want to see (9-3) Boston College or (8-4) Virginia Tech in the BCS. I know this sounds crazy, but I'm pretty sure the rules state that if you you have to finish in the top 14 of the BCS standings in order to qualify. Last time I checked, BC was #17 and VT #25. But thanks to the stupid rule about teams getting an automatic bid, one of these two teams is getting in and taking away a spot of another deserving team.
Listen, I know it's not going to be easy. Especially with how nuts this year has been. But if something's not working, alternate options must be considered. And the BCS isn't working. A playoff system is the only answer. Have an 8-team bracket and play down until a national champion is crowned. Seems pretty simple. And don't give me this BS about "oh well, implementing this system takes time away from the classroom for these kids." Do you know how many classes college basketball players miss per season? While they're flying to Maui, Aruba, away games and the NCAA tournament....the answer is A LOT. Having football players miss a few more classes in order to get this ship straightened out is well worth your time and theirs if it means fixing this mess.
Now, I'll give you the BCS is better than what was in place beforehand considering the nation's No. 1 and No. 2 teams met only 8 times in the 57 seasons between 1936 and 1992. This was when the "bowl coalition" was created. But when that venture failed, the BCS was implemented. And now that the BCS has failed, it's time to move on. So please President Obama, fix this thing once and for all. And return college football to the righteousness of the all of the other sports, one that crowns their champion the right way, through a playoff.

Lakers streak ends in Indiana 14-2
Danny Granger scored 32 points and led Indiana back from a 15-point fourth-quarter deficit, and Troy Murphy's buzzer-beating tip-in completed an improbable 118-117 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday night.
The Lakers came into the game with seven straight wins, the league's best record and reigning MVP Kobe Bryant. But even another terrific night from Bryant, who scored 28 points, wasn't quite enough.
Indiana trailed 101-86 at the start of the fourth quarter, but methodically chipped into the lead. Lakers head out tonight for Philly. Lakers Zone is back tomorrow at 3pm with Lakers - Philly tip @ 4pm.
Curioso
Top 100 Songs of 2008
I'm really looking forward to the songs that make Z100's top songs of 2008, but since I am a Jobro lover, I'd just like to say that I'm sure that "Burnin' Up" will make it in the top 10 if not the top 5. I'd really like them to get #1 because that song was EXTREMELY popular. =D
just putting my opinion out there.
